Over the next several weeks, the widely popular project quickly became one of the hottest series in all of television. Then again, when you acquire the acting brilliance of both Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, it hardly comes as a surprise that apocalyptic die-hards are waiting with bated breath for the show’s second season. But with the latest update provided to us, it seems we’ll have to wait longer than we thought.
While chatting with Deadline, Francesca Orsi, the head of drama at HBO, revealed that several shows are currently on hold due to the WGA strike happening across Hollywood at the moment. Among those HBO shows, The Last of Us was near the top of the list, with Orsi providing an update that will likely break plenty of fans’ hearts. Orsi said:
